Both our 45mm stack, AND our filter assembly gained 6hp and 6ft.lb
torque at the rear wheel on an independent test set up by Hot Bike for
the June 2002 issue. The Dyno test was carried out by Larry hardy of
Performance
Techniques. I've copied some excerpts of his email to us after the
tests. The bike was a Big Dog with a 107" TP motor, running a White
Bros, 'E' pipe and a Mikuni HSR42. The base run was using the big 'Ham
can' Mikuni K&N filter assembly, the second run with our Flo-Tec
and 45mm stack, and the third run with our Flo-Tec filter assembly with
the K&N 'Super G' spec filter element.
We make an unarguably, 'top shelf', superb quality custom system, that
not only works, but that bolts on horsepower and torque. At about $120.00
per horsepower, it's the best value for money HP that we know of.
And it looks good as well.

Hi
This morning I helped set up and test your Flow Tec air intake system
for Hot Bike. It pulled very well using your supplied air cleaner
over the K&N set up using an HSR 42.......Which I haven`t found
anything better until your product.
I`m interested in the Flow Tec system and aircleaner kit for a TC.
But the pics I see in your web site are not what I had here for an
air cleaner. It was Triangle shaped and screwed on from the front
and didn`t have the cover I see around your air cleaner's on your
site.
Your machine work is fantastic........for an Englishman ;-)..........kidding
!!
Thank`s for your time

Hi,
My name is Larry Hardy owner of Performance Techniques.
Hot bike came down here for testing of one of your products for an
article they were getting ready to run
in their magazine. I haven`t found any air cleaner set up`s that would
flow as much air as the stock K&N Filter for the HSR 42`s. And
for the price I probably won`t.
My test`s showed 6 lbs of tqe and 6 hp gain using your Flo Tec system
over the K&N filter. There was no tuning involved in these particular
dyno runs. With some fine tuning there should be a bit more. tqe and
hp to be gained.
Hi Larry,
Could you please tell me which stack/s you tested (12mm stub, 45mm
Midi, 105mm Maxa, 130mm mega)
Regards
Robert
Hi Robert
I used the short 12mm 45mm midi both did well. The air cleaner set
up did very well.
There should have been a loss adding the air cleaner but there wasn`t.
I don`t know if the longest 105 or 130 mm stack was here. There was
only three here we tested. The longest stack actually produced the
best hp. But there wasn`t any place to put your leg. (depends on your
seat height, length of your legs and the position of your foot controls
... ED)
Hope this helps
Good luck with a great product
