MIKUNI HSR 42

THE COMPLETE FLO-TEC OPTION (WITH FLO-TEC CAST MANIFOLD AND RUBBER MANIFOLD)

A kit for use with FLO-TEC short-entrance cast manifold and rubber manifold, both of which are gas-flowed and ovaled to match internally. Manifolds available in most lengths and finishes (see the manifolds section for the options). Rubber manifolds for HSR42 are available in Grey (to match cast or polished finishes) or Black.

This complete kit is good for builders wanting to use a Mikuni HSR 42 (on motors with stock or S&S heads), and who have no manifolds yet. We can supply the full kit including the cast and rubber manifolds for stock or S&S heads, for most types and size of motor. (See our Manifolds pages on this website for the full list of manifolds).

Many builders are using Mikuni HSR42 on S&S, or S&S headed motors. Most, if not all, of them have had problems with the head breather assembly because when they fit the Mikuni rubber manifold on the S&S big-port cast manifold, the carb is pushed too far out from the motor. This usually causes problems fixing the head breather assembly to the heads, and results in ugly spacers being needed.

FLO-TEC manifolds (for Mikuni) on S&S Heads put the Mikuni back into the correct position that Mikuni gave it with their short entrance tract manifold.

The cast manifolds are available with stock diameter (1.815"OD/1.625 ID) or S&S diameter (1.880" OD/1.780" ID) outlets. They're available in most under-length and over-length sizes for stroked and bored motors, and we can do special length and port sizes to special order. (Also see our Manifolds pages on this website) The manifolds accept our grey Nitrile high-temperature rubber manifold (see this website's FLO-TEC components page), or the Mikuni oval-entrance rubber manifold, and allow you to use our FLO-TEC Breather Bracket because the carburettor is back in the correct position.

The rubber and cast manifolds have matching internal profile 'oval' bore where they join.They are all available for Twin Cam map sensor, Evo VOES boss, or with a plain exterior. They're precision made, matching components with the same external profiles on the flanges, and the internal bores ramped and gas-flowed for optimum performance.

Kit contains: Breather Bracket, polished stainless steel banjo bolts, Bolts, HSR 42 Adapter Ring, O-Rings, and mounting hardware, FLO-TEC cast manifold and FLO-TEC rubber manifold.

THE 'ALL MIKUNI', OR MIKUNI AND FLO-TEC MANIFOLD OPTION

We've not given all these combinations seperate part numbers, so use the part numbers from the full FLO-TEC options (below) but make it clear which part of the kit you don't need (the cast or rubber manifold) and we'll deduct the cost from your kit.

(1) Using the late, stock specification Mikuni cast manifold with the short entrance tract with oval entrance and Mikuni rubber. (FLO-TEC Fitment Kit part numbers are the same as for the Mikuni 'Quick Fit' (see Mikuni 'Quick Fit' page)

Kit contains: Breather Bracket, polished stainless steel banjo bolts, Bolts, HSR 42 Adapter Ring, O-Rings, and mounting hardware.

(2) Using the late, (stock specification) Mikuni cast manifold with the short entrance tract, and Flo-Tec rubber.

Kit contains: Breather Bracket, polished stainless steel banjo bolts, Bolts, HSR 42 Adapter Ring, O-Rings, and mounting hardware, cast and rubber manifold.

(3) Using the correct FLO-TEC cast manifold for your motor, and a late Mikuni rubber manifold.

Kit contains: Breather Bracket, polished stainless steel banjo bolts, HSR 42 Adapter Ring, O-Rings, and mounting hardware, FLO-TEC cast manifold.

WHAT TO ORDER

You'll need the Breather Bracket Kit (correct width for the size of your motor), with either the two FLO-TEC manifolds, or one of the FLO-TEC/Mikuni manifold combinations. Then Horn and/or the Air filter assembly of your choice.
